The Children's Rehabilitative Service (CRS) is offered by Children's of Mississippi, part of University of Mississippi Medical Center. Children’s of Mississippi is the only hospital in Mississippi specially equipped and staffed to treat sick and injured children.
CRS provides physical and occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with physical, developmental, or chronic medical disabilities. We work closely with multidisciplinary teams in a variety of settings within Children’s of Mississippi including: pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, medical-surgical inpatient areas, and various ambulatory clinics. CRS also has an acute inpatient rehabilitation service.
Services
CRS at Children’s of Mississippi provides habilitative and rehabilitative care for ages birth to 16. The pediatric rehabilitation program is aimed at the optimum development of patients within the limits of their abilities so that they can function with maximum independence in their homes, schools and communities.
Parents, families and caregivers are considered integral members of our rehabilitation team. Their input and feedback are crucial to the success of therapy services for their child.
